LNP | LancasterOnline Best Workplaces — Contest Rules

Voting Method, Requirements, and Prizes:

  • Votes can only be made by completing the online form at lnpbestworkplaces.voterfly.com.
  • No mail-in ballots will be accepted.
  • One voter will be randomly selected to win a $100 Visa gift card.
  • Your employees are not the only ones who can vote. They can (and should) invite their friends and family to vote. This is called a "net promoter" effect. If your employees are happy with their workplace, they will vote and invite others to vote. 
  • After voting is completed, companies will be contacted so that they can be accurately assigned to a size group: 
    • Small (fewer than 50 employees)
    • Medium (50 to 99 employees)
    • Large (100 or more employees)
  • There will be 1st through 3rd place winners in each size group for each voting category. Winners will receive certificates and window clings to display! 

Voting Limits:

  • Each person may vote only once per category for the duration of the contest.
  • Winning businesses are based on the number of votes submitted to the online voting ballot.

Nominee Eligibility:

  • Nominees must be locally owned and have a physical presence within Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Businesses that have an office in a neighboring county, but have Lancaster County in their service area, do not qualify.
  • Eligibility is verified through the Business License database, social media presence, official websites, and other reasonable methods. Eligibility is solely the discretion of LNP Media Group.

Voting Period:

  • Voting opens on October 4, 2026, and all votes must be received by October 23, 2026.
  • Rankings will be visible October 4 – October 16. Voting goes dark, and rankings are hidden, October 17 – October 23.
  • Winners will be revealed online and in the LNP newspaper on December 2, 2026.

Ballot Stuffing and Security Measures:

  • Votes suspected of being fraudulent such as bulk submissions, automated voting, duplicate voter information, or attempts to bypass security—may be reviewed and removed at the discretion of LNP Media Group.
  • We use automated software to detect and prevent fraudulent voting practices.

Disqualification and Conduct:

  • The LNP | LancasterOnline Best Workplaces facilitators may disqualify any nominee or remove votes for violating the rules, engaging in inappropriate conduct, or acting in a way that violates the spirit or intent of the competition. Examples of inappropriate conduct include, but are not limited to:
    • Misuse of official logos or marketing materials
    • Harassment or abusive behavior toward participants or organizers
    • Misrepresentation of the competition or categories
    • Attempts to interfere with the fair operation of the competition
  • All decisions regarding conduct, eligibility, and disqualification are final.

Results and Announcements:

  • All competition results are held by LNP Media Group.
  • Winners will be announced in LNP on Wednesday, December 2nd, and online at at Lnpbestworkplaces.voterfly.com
  • Winners will receive a certificate, promotional materials, and bragging rights.

Purpose of the Competition:

  • The goal of the LNP | LancasterOnline’s Best Workplaces is to honor the outstanding employers of Lancaster County. We aim to make the competition enjoyable for all participants.
